Dr Wong has a comprehensive legal background, with expertise in Commercial Law, Banking and Finance Law, International Law, Public Law, and Family Law.  

 

With global experience across multiple jurisdictions, Dr Wong is adept at assisting clients navigate complex legal challenges by blending a global perspective with strong domestic insight to deliver clear, practical outcomes.   Admitted  to practice in both NSW and New York, Dr Wong offers broad legal expertise underpinned by commercial acumen forged through experience in leading commercial  jurisdictions.

Dr Wong is the author of Sovereign Finance and the Poverty of Nations: Odious Debts in International Law (Edward Elgar) and Money Matters in Myanmar: Banking and Finance Law and Practice (Lexis Nexis), and numerous book chapters and articles in international finance law.   She is a recognised expert and thought leader in sovereign debt law, global banking systems, and the intersection of law and economic development.

Since her call to the NSW Bar, Dr Wong has regularly appeared - both led and unled, in substantial interim and final hearings across State and Federal courts and tribunals.

 

Dr Wong holds a JSD and LLM from Berkeley Law School, BCom/LLB from University of Sydney.​
